Feeding Fear of Love?
I am sitting in a Swiss resto on Palawan Island, Philippines. A couple from the UK enters. They know the Swiss owner and begin to dialog. After a pause, the Swiss owner asks: “Did you hear the news?” In unison the two enthusiastically respond with, “Yes! Yes!”
I asked: “What news?”
The Swiss owner replies: “Osama bin Laden has been killed”.
Being a US citizen I immediately wonder if it is true, given the current state of US economics and the evolving friendly dictatorship of U.S. government.
After this passing thought I feel the breaking of my heart at hearing of yet the perpetuation and celebration of the enacting of the reptilian pattern of ‘an eye for an eye”. A death of an enemy or a friend…..breaks open our hearts and ripples the love light interconnection of All Life. This ripple confronts us with our own mortality and the preciousness of this moment. In this cracking open of our heart-mind we are confronted with the opportunity to ask the question:
“How do I want to live my life?”
All enemies and friends are of our making. There is no enemy, no friend….only the infinite illuminated Space within all form. As long as we fear, enemies within and without flourish.

In fear or love?
